Ms.Morolake Odetoyinbo is the Project Director of Positive Action for Treatment Access (PATA),
an NGO dedicated to the promotion of the rights and wellbeing of women living with HIV/AIDS in
Nigeria. She also is an activist, advocate, writer, trainer, public speaker, television producer and
presenter.
With a background in dramatic arts, Ms. Odetoyinbo has over ten years experience in fighting for
the rights of the marginalized and vulnerable in society. Ms. Odetoyinbo has worked on issues
related to people with disabilities and persons living with HIV (PLHIV) for a number of years. She
has engaged in HIV/AIDS policy review and development around issues of treatment, research and
ethic. She is an advocate for inclusive programming involving PLHIV.Ms. Odetoyinbo is actively
involved in mobilizing, networking and mentoring people, particularly women living with HIV.
Morolake presently serves on the National Technical Working Group on Women and HIV/AIDS in
Nigeria.

Mr. Emmanuel Ijewere is currently Chairman, Longman Nigeria PLC. A renowned Chattered
accountant, businessman, technocrat and philanthropist, Mr. Ijewere was formerly President of
the Nigerian Red Cross Society(NRS),The Institute of Directors,(IoD) as well as the Institute of
Chattered of Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN).

Dr. Jerome Mafeni is currently the Chief of Party for the USAID Nigeria Bilateral ENHANSE Project,
primed by Constella Futures (Former Futures Group International). Dr. Mafeni has accumulated
considerable experience in international development research and planning, monitoring and
evaluation strategies, strategic planning, policy analysis, information technology, and economic
management, more than 16 years as both a lecturer of Dental Public Health at the University of
Benin, Benin-City, Nigeria, and Assistant Director (Research and Administration) at the World
Health Organization (WHO) African Regional Centre for Oral Health Research and Training
Initiatives (ARCORTI) formerly called the Intercountry Centre for Oral Health for Africa (ICOH). Since
joining the POLICY project in 2000, he has acquired a great depth of experience working
successfully with various public and private sector partners in Nigeria, where he has worked on
strategic planning for HIV/AIDS for the national response, for states, sectoral ministries and civil
society organizations.

Prof.Oni Idigbe was until June 2008, the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. An internationally acclaimed microbiologist, laboratory scientist and University don, Prof. Idigbe became the substantive Director General of NIMR in 2000 after acting in that capacity from 1999.He also serves on the Board of several national and international organizations and NGOs Prof Idigbe has played pivotal roles in the establishment of several Public Health Laboratories in various parts of the country. He was instrumental to the International Standard Organization (ISO) accreditation of the Human Virology Laboratory at NIMR; the only health laboratory in the country to be so accredited. His area of Research is in tuberculosis, HIV infection and Health Systems Development. He has published over 95 scientific papers in both Local and international peer review journals.

Hajia Maimuna Mohammed works with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) as
Director, Government Affairs Coordination and Support. Her job at NACA includes facilitating
engagement of all tiers of government on issues of HIV/AIDS; coordinates planned and identified
multisectoral HIV/AIDS activities of government in the national response.

Dr. Morenike Ukpong is a Paedodontist by training. She is Coordinator of the Nigerian HIV Vaccine
and Microbicides Advocacy Society (NHVMAS). She has been active in Microbicides and HIV vaccine
advocacy for the last seven years, focusing on coordinating the Nigerian network of researchers and
community advocates; mainstreaming Microbicides and HIV vaccine into the larger HIV/AIDS
discussion; mapping HIV Vaccine and Microbicides-related research & advocacy in the country;
leading advocacy initiatives; mobilizing civil society groups on preparing for HIV vaccine and
Microbicides advocacy; and ensuring community has a role in providing ethical oversight for NPT
researches conducted in the country. She was involved with the drafting of the 2005-2009 National
HIV/AIDS Strategic Framework.
Her efforts as an advocate has helped placed Nigeria and NHVMAS on the regional and
international scene. She is an author of many technical reports and articles published in
internationally reputable journals. She currently works a senior lecturer with the Obafemi Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife and as a consultant with its affiliated university.
